If you need your Nokia smartphone repaired, one of the first things our repair techs will ask for is your phone’s model number. There are a couple of ways to find it, but they often require the phone not to be in use, so before giving us a call, try these tips to locate your Nokia model number.
If your phone is functional:
The Lumia series model numbers can be found in the Settings menu. From there choose About, then Phone Information. Your model number will look something like this : Nokia Lumia 920.
On other Nokia phones, access your keypad and type *#0000#. This will display your phone’s model number.
If your phone is not powering on or the display is not visible:
The Lumia series data sticker is located underneath the phone’s SIM tray. Using a SIM key, eject the SIM card and tray. Now, use the SIM key to pull the tray out by inserting it into the hole on the tray’s side and gently pulling it out. Your phone’s model number is on the data label underneath the SIM tray.
On older Nokia phones, the data label is located underneath the battery, on the phone itself. After powering down your phone, remove the back battery cover and take out the battery. The white label should be visible now, as should your phone’s model number.
It’s that time of year again! Apple is ready to roll out their newest models on September 10th, with their most-gossiped and guessed-about device being the iPhone 5C. The “C” is rumored to stand for “color”, or possibly “cheaper”, because the iPhone 5C will be offered in 5 different colors, at a fraction of the price as the original iPhone 5. If you need iPhone 5C front glass replacement parts, iPhone 5C batteries and other iPhone 5C parts, you have come to the right place.
Colors? And Did You Say Cheaper?!
That’s right- the iPhone will finally be available in something other than black or white! In fact, the iPhone 5C doesn’t appear to be offered in black; instead, consumers will get to choose between blue, green, red, yellow, and white. It’s body will be slightly different, with rounded edges where the original iPhone 5 is flat.
The biggest difference between the iPhone 5C and previous models is not color, but material. The reason this model will be cheaper has to do with the plastic housing it will feature on the back, a big change from the metal and glass casing that we have become used to from Apple products. Supposedly thinner and lighter than its other plastic-backed competitors, the integration of glass fibers into its ultra-thin plastic shell should also grant it more strength and durability than other similarly-constructed smartphones. (http://www.macrumors.com/2013/03/15/lower-cost-iphone-said-to-use-super-thin-plastic-and-fiberglass-shell-in-4-6-colors/)
Does the iPhone 5C Compromise on Capability?
When I heard the rumors of a cheaper, plastic-backed iPhone, I figured that it would simply be a brightly-tinted downgrade to a 4/4S-type technology, but it seems that the innards of the iPhone 5C are very similar to the original iPhone 5. Like the 5, the new 5C is said to be equipped with a dual-core CPU and tri-core GPU; other parallels to the original 5 are the new iOS7, and the 8 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front camera.
What? That is not at all what I said. Except for the colors part- It definitely comes in colors.
I don’t know that I’d call the iPhone 5C cheap, either. Cheaper, maybe, but the lowest lowest estimate still runs at $350, and the highest at $550. Its price may align with the current iPhone 4/4S subsidized price of $99 w/ a two-year contract. (http://www.macrumors.com/roundup/iphone-5c/)
And unbreakable? Personally, I’m very optimistic about every “new-and-improved” model , but I’m never very surprised when technology breaks, either. So, should you acquire an iPhone 5C (they are expected to be released to the general public around September 20th!), and somehow manage to crack the screen, call RockIT Repairs at (540) 412-8824! Our competent, knowledgeable techs can easily take care of your iPhone 5C front glass replacement, quickly and at reasonable, honest prices!

The answer to this common Kindle fire charging port problem can be found in the hands of our experienced, competent techs
It has become an all too common occurrence for Kindle owners- they plug their tablet in, allow plenty of time for a full recharge, yet return to find that their Kindle is still suffering from a dead or dying battery. They might try some of the simpler troubleshooting tips (i.e. hold power button down for 30, then plug into charger to reset; clean port with 99% alcohol); a few may get lucky and discover a charging “sweet spot”, found by wiggling the USB cable into the charging port at exactly the right angle, but at that point, their Kindle’s battery is living on borrowed time. Eventually, the Kindle won’t charge at all, and the charging port has bcome noticeably loose.
Why would this happen to a perfectly functioning tablet that isn’t even two years old?
The Kindle Charging Port Repair Defect
If any of this sounds familiar, then it sounds as though your Kindle has been exhibiting the symptoms indicative of the Kindle Charging Port Defect, This surprisingly common problem is caused by an improperly soldered connection on the motherboard, and it seems to affect the Kindle Fire more frequently than the rest of the Kindle family.

This place is great!
I took my daughters Oculus here to get the charging port fixed. The turnaround time was incredibly quick ( 2 days) and the oculus is operating like it is brand new. I wanted to wait a few weeks to post to ensure everything was working correctly after the repair. Everything works great.
I will be returning here if I ever have any tech issues and would highly recommend..
Great job and thank you!

Professional, no-nonsense, courteous. They give you the straight info on what the repair entails; how much the total job will cost, and when to expect your tech item back without all the drama and special effects. I took the phone (cracked screen) to a place that was locally convenient for me and they stated that they couldn't obtain a screen for that phone. I found Rockit Repairs on-line; noticed that they were "vetetan-owned" and decided to try them. The gentleman said that he could repair it, but would need to order that particular screen. A couple days later, the screen came in, they notified me; I took the phone back in for the repair and HALLELUJAH. .....all good. THANK YOU!

I’ve been to a few tech repair stores around Fredericksburg. The workers are genuinely kind and caring. The store is smaller and in a more tucked away location than some other repair shops, I assume they have a lower overhead cost which is why they can charge significantly less while using superior repair parts. This is definitely the go-to tech repair shop in the area. They charged significantly less to fix my back glass while replacing more parts (the whole back) than every other place I checked in the area. I assume the other place used cheaper glass also since my glass broke a few weeks later but this place confirmed they use top quality replacement parts when the other place couldn’t tell me what they used.
